After
spending many years in the professional arena, I have tailored my business to what I believe is the
ultimate learning environment for horse, rider and instructor,
the private lesson. I have found this method to bring the
student along much better and faster by providing:
A deep and intrinsic understanding of The Horse-Rider Connection. The opportunity to learn on The Show Horse, a keen athlete, making the student a stronger, more focused rider.
Horses are such highly sensitive creatures, that if you keep them fresh by giving quality lessons, they will try just as hard as the student to attain new levels of communication. Of course, the reality is that we must all ride together, so as the rider is able to control his/her horse safely, they are integrated into a group setting. This opens up a whole new world of experience for the rider in control and accuracy in a group setting. Of course we always offer the opportunity to return to the private lesson for learning new skills if necessary.
Recitals and Journals are an important part of our rider’s education, as it helps them to develop character, poise and confidence. Each season we have a horse show for all our riders. Parents and friends enjoy watching their child learning to perform on their favorite lesson horse.
Each horse in the Riding School is not only a professionally
trained mount but they are shown by the Instructor/Trainer,
Holly Parks Robinson and student show riders in class A
competitions throughout the season. You are up on first-class
show Horses! Mrs. Robinson speaking with extreme pride states:
"I feel very strongly about having my show horses
available as lesson horses
for my clientele."
The transition for the rider from The Riding School to The Show
Ring can be overwhelming, potentially dangerous and therefore,
often unattainable. In developing this transitional practice
over a 30-year span of experience, I have bridged this gap and
have built my riders into more complete horse people.
The rewards have been outstanding and the answer to my prayers! My show horses also love the lessons. They can take the time out from the discipline of professional training, as they enjoy teaching the children and adults in the riding school.
